Men’s Trauma And Recovery Group

16 Week Group: Wednesdays from 7:30-9:00 pm

Group Facilitator: Bruce Butler LPC, CSAT

Building on the work completed in the Foundations for Recovery group, participants work through a curriculum designed to help them develop their recovery into a daily practice and to move into some of the deeper issues of addiction recovery and sexual and relational health.  Topics covered include:

• Working with decision-making and blocks to change
• Working through grief, losses and grudges
• Shame reduction and empathy development
• Completion of the Post Traumatic Stress Index to review the personalized impact of trauma and categories of traumatic responses
• Creating a Trauma Egg to identify personal childhood trauma history
• Inner child and re-parenting work to heal trauma
