Our individual Intensives, held in the serene setting of Leesburg, VA, are individualized to focus on your unique needs. Elements include:
Holistic Healing
Drawing on over twenty years’ experience treating childhood trauma, Beth Ratchford LCSW combines attachment-focused EMDR, inner-child work, equine assisted healing, and somatic modalities to meet you where you are and help you get unstuck.
Week-Long Immersion
Our Intensive program runs from Monday to Friday, ensuring that you receive comprehensive care and attention throughout the week. Free of the distractions of work and home obligations, you’ll engage in a structured, personal growth experience that will change your life.
Reflection & Growth
Your afternoons are dedicated to self-reflection and personal growth. You’ll have the time to process your feelings, insights, and breakthroughs from the morning sessions. Homework assignments will reinforce your progress and deepen your understanding.
Equine-Assisted Healing
Mid-week, you’ll have the extraordinary opportunity to engage in a 90-minute equine-assisted learning experience. This profound connection with these magnificent animals can help you explore your emotions and inner world in a unique and transformative way.
Daily Sessions
Each morning, you will participate in a 2-hour session tailored to address your unique challenges and unfold as a cohesive healing experience.
On-Going Support
After the intensive you will recieve two follow-up sessions with Beth and she will also collaborate with your individual therapist to let them know what you accomplished during the intensive.

- You are early in addiction recovery or in active addiction.
- You are unable to travel to Leesburg VA (we do not offer virtual intensives).
Facilitator
Beth Ratchford, LCSW
Beth Ratchford has been in the field for over 20 years specializing in treating trauma, particularly family of origin-based trauma. She has trained with Laurel Parnell in the Attachment-Focused EMDR protocol, which is a modified version of the powerful tool of EMDR. AF-EMDR is a client-centered approach to EMDR that was developed for those who’ve experienced developmental and attachment trauma in childhood. Beth also is an Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA) certified mental health practitioner which allows her to incorporate the healing power of horses into work with clients. The intuitive nature of horses can facilitate clients being able to be present and connect more deeply to their story.
